Sandra Bullock Movie List
92Sandra Bullock Movie Star And Oscar Winning Actress
Sandra Bullock was born in Arlington, Virginia in 1964. Her mother was a German opera singer, and the family traveled extensively while she was a child. When she was a teenager, the family moved back to the Washington, D.C., area and Sandra later enrolled in North Carolina’s East Carolina University, where she studied acting.
She later moved to New York to pursue her acting career, and by her mid-twenties she was working on television and received some film roles. It wasn’t until her performance in “Speed” in 1994 that Sandra Bullock became a true movie star. That film launched her career to a new level, and over the subsequent 15 years she made a name for herself as a box-office draw as both a dramatic and comedic actor.
During the late 1990s, a new Sandra Bullock movie seemed to appear every few months! She continued that heavy workload for more than ten years, but became more selective about her movie roles during the new millennium. In 2009 she made a “comeback”, starring in three successful films that year. One of those films, “The Blind Side”, earned her multiple awards – among them, a Golden Globe, a SAG and the Academy Award for Best Actress – and became the first movie with a female lead to break the $200 million dollar box office mark.
One of the other films she starred in that year was “All About Steve”, for which she earned a Razzie Award. Sandra Bullock is now one of just four women to win both an Oscar for Best Actress and a Razzie for Worst Actress, but the only one to do so in the same year in the same year! The others are Halle Berry (“Monster’s Ball” and “Catwoman”), Faye Dunaway (“Network” and “Mommie Dearest”) and Liza Minelli (“Cabaret” and “Arthur 2”).
Sandra Bullock received her Razzie Award just two days prior top accepting her Oscar, and she took the ignominious honor in stride.

Good hub but personally I think Sandra Bullock is either an awful actress or else she has been in a lot of bad films. Perhaps both. Keep up the good work
I didn't realize she was in so many movies. She strikes me as the girl next door type actress. That's probably why she's so popular. I'm not a big movie watcher but, I would like yo see Blind Side. Thanks, Edweirdo for the list.
